Our History

Leisureways was founded as a supplier of auto parts and accessories in 2019 by managing director David Clarke.

It was a local service that national distributors couldn't fully satisfy. The rest, as they say, is history.

The Leisureways story - since 2019

2023 - The family expands

Ebony Clarke (David’s daughter) has worked at Leisureways since February 2023 and Georgia (Tom’s partner) joined the Leisureways team in March 2023.

2022 - Branch manager Tom

Tom Clarke (David's oldest son) became the Branch Manager of Leisureways in July 2022 after previously managing Butlers Automotive from 2019 to 2022.

2021 - 2024 - Leisureways thrives

An extension was built in 2021 and became our current warehouse space. We then refurbished the retail shop in October 2023 and moved on to the upstairs offices, toilets and kitchen in August 2024.

2019 - David buys Leisureways

Our managing director David Clarke bought the business and the site in October 2019 and Leisureways became part of the Alliance Automotive Group. He closed the sports side and turned it into a motor factor only.

1989 - Leisureways opens

Leisureways opens with joint directors Trevor and Ron Hinchliffe selling sportswear and equipment. Sebastian Coe even cut the ribbon at the grand opening !

Leisureways also used to rebuild engines and sell car parts.
